Awards Given

Arizona TASH is proud to present TWO annual awards to acknowledge individuals, groups, programs or organizations for their efforts to promote inclusive practices in Arizona schools or communities  (i.e., inclusive jobs, recreational, community living, etc.).
 
Nominations will be accepted for the Arizona TASH Legacy Award and the June Downing Community Support Award. Each year, Arizona TASH will present one award under each award category.

The AzTASH Legacy Award comes with a special “Pulling for All Kids” award OR a special “Living the Inclusive Dream” award, a one-year membership to TASH, plus a $500 cash award. The award is given to a person that has positively impacted inclusive practices or policies for students and/or adults who have moderate to severe disabilities. Their work must involve a number of students, teachers, parents, and/or community members, along with demonstrating a sustained effort that has been in place and will likely continue in the future. The award winner will be announced at the Annual Arizona TASH Inclusive Practices Institute.

The June Downing Community Support Award comes with a special award, a one-year membership to TASH, plus a $500 cash award. The award is given to a person whose work has positively impacted the inclusion of a student(s) and/or an adults(s) who has moderate to severe disabilities, along with demonstrating the vision of creating an inclusive community.  The award winner will be announced at the Annual Arizona TASH Inclusive Practices Institute.
